Stopped by today and had the wine sampler with my wife, which includes four glasses of wine of your choice. Given the fact that this is a Chilean restaurant, I opted for four glasses of Chilean wine. The staff was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and courteous. We ordered some empanadas to go and they were great.

Crunchy fried onion, mushroom, and tomato dish was a well- textured and flavored starter. Opening the way for the heart of the menu: the empanadas. The veggie empanada was the best empanada I've ever had. The ingredients were blended and seasoned in such a way that provided a consistent consumption experience to support a rockin' flavor profile.
Churros were stuffed tastefully and made for the perfect dessert.
About as good a blend of cultural authenticity and American culinary quality that you can hope for.
New Haven should be proud to offer this restaurant as an option.

Vina's Wine & Tapas in New Haven was such a wonderful find! We shared a selection of delicious tapas—each bite was packed with flavor—and sipped on some refreshing sangria. The atmosphere was cozy and lively, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy great food and drinks. A great choice for a fun, flavorful evening out!

This was a 5-star dining experience for a party of 4 from the service to the atmosphere to the cuisine/tapas. The restaurant is exceptional and everything was devoured!

Fabulous, authentic Chilean/Spanish food! The empanaditas chilenas, patatas bravas, pastel de choclo, and chicken pimiento were our favorites. Don't skip the churros at the end--they are delicious. The additional standout of this restaurant is its service. Our server, Mario, was extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive, as were Christian and Yaquelin. Everyone seemed joyful and happy to serve us, and went out of their way to offer us recommendations and accommodate our needs. We just really enjoyed eating here, it was a real treat!

Just had a really nice night. I have to say I really enjoyed the atmosphere here. There is outdoor seating that was great in a vibrant part of New Haven. They had live music as well. Food was very flavorful, and the drinks were well made.

My girlfriend and I recently took a trip to Miami Mojito Company, known to be the “best” mojitos in the Miami area (hard to beat that). They come NOWHERE close to these mojitos!!! The Miami place didn’t even have that fresh minty taste in the traditional mojito! We were dying to come back and here we are. Viñas also offered us mojitos that aren’t even on the menu (mango & passion fruit)! Amazing service!! Everyone is super nice and helpful. Will keep coming back and recommending to others 😊
Ps. My girlfriend loves the Lomo soltado and calamari

Viñas is truly a gem of New Haven. Had a wedding party of 15 people and Mario and his team made our night truly special. Food was incredible, wine selection was spectacular. They really know what they’re doing here. Thank you so much to the entire team for giving my friends and family such a wonderful night🤍 Can’t wait to come back for our anniversary next year!

This was a great pre-show meal before wandering over to College Street Music Hall. The team and staff at Vinas Wine & Tapas were great. We arrived a bit late for our reservation, but were promptly seated at a cozy two-person hightop near the front of the restaurant. We mentioned that we were seeing a show that evening and the staff promptly kicked things into high-gear.
Ordered the Papas Bravas, Empanadas Chilenitas, Churrasco Philly, and the Birria Tacos. The Papas Bravas were adequately crispy, but slightly underseasoned. They were cut a bit larger than what we were used to, which may have explained why they were a little underseasoned. The Empanadas were delicious. The pastry dough was crispy and well seasoned, while the filling was both meaty and flavorful. The aioli on top just added to the richness.
The Birria Tacos were filled with some deliciously flavorful meat. Like most birria tacos, be prepared to roll up your sleeves because it can get a little messy, but totally worth it. Last, the Churrasco Philly was everything a Philly Cheesesteak should be in a "normal" personal serving size. The meat was seasoned perfectly and matched nicely with the peppers and onions. The cheese added just the right amount of salt and creaminess to tie it all together.
Everything paired nicely with the 2022 Montes Alpha Carmenere we ordered. Definitely planning to visit again when we're back in town.
